In Today's Episode... Mane-of-Night seeks some proper relaxation, and we see another small corner of Glitterthorn's personal empire, as "A Day On The Beach" begins!

Development Update... Progress is being made, despite the general "climate". I expect to have TDD-502 completed by, or during, the mid-week "paperwork" break, and MoN-103 could be done by the end of that week.

Seriously!

Meanwhile... Okay, let's try some April comic reviews...

Captain America #25: And so, the biggest single issue in comics for several years arrives...

Unfortunately, any sense of drama is somewhat muted for anyone who's been reading Cap's title for the last couple of years. Two conspiracies collide, and a hero "dies" in the midst of it all - but I feel that very little is as it appears.

It's a shame this got spoilered to death before I even got my hands on it. The impact was severely blunted, even in those last two pages. Sometimes, you gotta hate this internet thing...

Eternals #7: A somewhat subdued ending to the series, if all that can be called "subdued". Bodes well for the future - I hope the Eternals won't just vanish back into obscurity after such an excellent reimagining..

Mighty Avengers #1: And just when you thought the thought-bubble was extinct... it makes a welcome return, and is used to great effect here.

However... there is something else, namely *SPOILER - highlight to view* I was RIGHT - there WAS a connection between Iron Man and Ultron! *END SPOILER*

New Avengers #28: Okay, just what's going on here? Two stories apparently running concurrently, and both hit cliffhangers? Confusing.

Nice to see Luke Cage kick some more Cape-Killer ass, though.

Ion #12: This has been a bit disappointing, and has rather failed to make former Green Lantern Kyle Rayner into anything distinctive in his "new career", as the Ion character kinda fails to develop much over the last year. There's a distinct lack of conclusion to this, almost as though it's an ongoing series that didn't quite make it, and it doesn't help that the cover is pretty much a lie.

Green Lantern #18: Nice cover - shame about the interior art. Worth reading the "Tales of The Sinestro Corps" in the back of this before reading Green Lantern Corps #10 - that last page will make a whole lot more sense, and be a whole lot more ominous, if you do.

Merchandise: Booo - no Dark Phoenix statue in this parcel. That won't arrive until after my birthday now...

And Finally... Nice one, Lewis Hamilton!
