The Long Version...
6 Nov 2006 00:25In Yesterday's Episode: Can Darkhawk establish the first alliance against the Pandemonicum? The answer is revealed in the latest chapter of The Darkhawk Diaries, as we stand on the brink of difficult times...
This story is close to completion, with the scene just about to be set for "The Movie". That story has been due to be told for a while, and the fallout from it will have consequences for a long time to come. It will, therefore, take some serious development. There's football tonight, so I may just make use of that time to achieve the aforementioned completion.
November Comics Highlights... Ms Marvel 8 - Shame on you, Carol Danvers, shame on you. You and Wonder Man. Add two more to the list of Marvel heroes who are going to have to live with seriously ill-considered actions.
Certainly one of the better Civil War tie-ins.
Nextwave 9 - Holy crap, where do they get this stuff from? What other comic could get away with having half of its scenes upside down?
Don't think a Brit like Elsa would be seen dead wearing a frigging "Euro" t-shirt, though.
Gonna miss this when it ends at issue 12, and switches to the mini-series format...
And the rest...? Still working on the stack. In Civil War: X-Men 4, Valerie Cooper certainly redeems herself - with a crowbar. On the other hand, the Lady Death Annual 1 is typical of why I lost interest in the character - the story was simply not deserving of an issue on its own, let alone an annual. Uninteresting supporting characters don't help. The recently solicited "pirate" special could've been fun, but no thanks. I'll most likely pick that up as a cheap back-issue.
