In another universe, the Japanese Grand Prix went the other way, and a certain motor racing legend would be too smug for words. However, that's not how it worked out in thisreality - but even so, it's a bit of a disappointment how the race went, leaving Schumacher with little more than a mathematical chance of an eighth world title. A bit more of a straight fight in Brazil would've been preferable, but there you go -
Breaking sports news... Aghh! Giants 19, Redskins 3! NFC East losses hurt double...
Creative update... Dammit, the current "climate" is distinctly project-hostile. I spend too much of the time wondering when my "services" will next be required - I think there'll be something to do with doors some time this week. Being only occasionally gainfully employed, I guess I can't say no to some of this stuff, but -
No. No "emo" soul-searching shit here. Sorry about that...
I'm thinking I may have to resort to a series of short Darkhawk "meanwhiles" until the field of play is cleared of BB and SiL's "project shrapnel", and I can continue as planned. The "story inventory" I'd built up is quickly eroding, with not much progress made on the next story - yes I have allowed myself to get distracted, but then TDD isn't the be-all and end-all of my existence, nor was it ever intended to be. The same goes for being everyone else's odd-job man, of course.
It might help to continue with the story-conversion project I began earlier in the year, taking past work that's relevant to TDD and getting it "published". Of course, I could get it published for real, via Cafepress or something like that...
I will force myself to come up with four "meanwhiles" that I can work on before bed. There are so many stories in Darkhawk's corner of the Multiverse that are never told. I'd been planning to put together a "who's who", gathering all the names I've mentioned in the The Darkhawk Diaries, and when they were mentioned, and right now, I'm wishing I'd already done that. There isn't long until the latest episode of 24 (Day Four), so perhaps I can get something meaningful done, and do some research that I need for the next big story...
