A whole heap of "idea fragments" is currently in orbit, some of which may end up as relevant pieces of less important stories, but only a few are likely to impact directly on the main story arc - but things could still change.

Unfortunately, my schedule is messed up a bit tomorrow - yet again - so story progress is likely to be limited. I'll do what I can.

Meanwhile... Looks like there will be some much needed paid employment again, later in the month. This I need right now, as BB and SiL's "big project" creeps along, and has so far not generated me any income.

And Finally... Scottish "Socialist" MSP Tommy Sheridan (not deserving a link - look him up if you can be bothered) is a bloody good laugh. The fallout from his libel case now leads him to announce to the press that he thinks MI5 are plotting to bring him down. Good luck to them - maybe he could get a job on daytime TV.

Hear that...?

The silence, marred only by the rustle of passing tumbleweed...?

That's the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, doing and saying absolutely fuck all about the impending nuclear bomb test by North Korea. We in the UK so much as hint at replacing our ageing nuclear deterrent, and up they pop like frigging Zebedee out of The Magic Roundabout, bleating on about how unjust and evil that is.

The last thing this world needs is a Communist power with nukes. Just see how long it took to deal with the last lot, and how lucky we were not to wipe out all life on the planet...

On a more personal note... Well, that's one disruption almost dealt with, now that a certain rewiring task nears completion, and the furniture-shuttling is complete - but riding in hard on the tail of that is another disruption, and more removals. Someone get me a frigging van...

...oh, and hire me a driver, and maybe a chiropracter while you're at it. :/ If you can't find the latter, an Indian masseuse with really long hair and thigh-high boots will do quite nicely instead.

Meanwhile... If I get a moment to myself, I keep finding myself drawn into the wonderful world of custom Dungeon Master modules, courtesy of the nifty Return To Chaos. Every computer I have owned that has been capable of running it has some incarnation of DM on it, including the laptop, and now that I've learned how to create my own dungeons, I struggle to keep away from the damn thing.

Of course, it's so much easier to fire up the RTC Editor, then set it aside at a moment's notice as one relative or other needs shit shifted about, than it is to even get started on writing the next Darkhawk chapter. I barely get time to think right now...

I shall very much be looking forward to the next bit of university work, which usually gives me plenty of opportunities to flex the great, grey creative muscle. Bursts of student-counting interspersed with decent-sized periods of free time... bliss - and you get paid for it!

I will probably go to bed tonight dreaming of the Indian masseuse in the boots. Lucky me...
