In The News... So Schumacher is retiring, eh? It's true there hasn't been a driver like him in the entire history of Formula 1, or even in motor-sport period, but it really is time for someone else to get a chance.

Too tired to think of anything else... oh yeah, a couple more Darkhawk chapters are "in the can", with only a couple more to go in the current story. Better get things geared up for what comes next...

Okay, time for bed. I have a relatively peaceful week ahead, but tomorrow is a big day, as...

...it's Monday Night - are you ready for some football...? Yeah, okay - it's out of date, I know... Tonight (Sunday) saw the official start of the new NFL season, and tomorrow night, it's Redskins - Vikings, Live on Five!!!

Reflections on 9/11, five years on, "tomorrow" - i.e. after I wake up, and my body is convinced it really is Monday.

Remembering...

Okay, so now it's "officially" September 11th, the fifth anniversary of 9/11, and I don't really have much to add to all that's been said over the last week, except for this...

Does anyone really believe the US was just going to do nothing after the World Trade Center was attacked?

Or is the US supposed to remain one of the two nations on Earth that isn't allowed to defend itself, the other being Israel? Neither nation is perfect - none of them are - but can all of their people be held accountable for their nation's actions? That's pretty much how certain groups see things - and then those very groups have the gall to cry "foul" when something equivalent to their own atrocities happens to them.

No matter what we do, no matter what troops we withdraw, or what murderers we release to appease the other murderers, someone will always find a reason, however fucked up, to take a shot at your country, and them condemn you as "colonial crusaders" when you retaliate. It's all so totally fucked up - no wonder some have just stopped caring...

...and they get branded racist, or some other shit.

Of course, if there was no religion, there'd be a whole bunch less of this shit. Now, it appears that some Holy Hannahs are convinced that the end of the world is coming, and because there's supposed to be paradise after that, they're trying to hurry Armageddon along.

Well fuck them. They don't own the world, and their word sure as hell isn't the be-all and end-all. Time to get rid of all of them, for all our sakes.
