In Today's Episode: Darkhawk finds an ally in high places in the latest chapter of The Darkhawk Diaries.

Elsewhat... I was going to get the two-disk HP - Goblet Of Fire and the first Pirates Of The Carribean from Amazon, but then I saw that Woolworths in town had both for about the same price - and with NO postage! As I promised myself after seeing it on the big screen, I bought "Gob... Of ...ire" cheap (£7.97), and watched it when I got home - but there's still no sign of Karkaroff in the forest when the dragons are revealed for the first Tri-Wizard test - even in the extra scenes - which makes Harry's revelation to Cedric cheating, when in the book, Harry sees Karkaroff sneaking about, and telling Cedric then becomes honorable levelling of the field of play.

Confused? Guess you haven't read the books. You could do a lot worse - then watch HP4, and see how much got missed out. Some of it is expendible, but not actual pieces of plot, people...

In The News... It looks like the fallout from Tommy Sheridan's defamation trial is going to destroy the Scottish Socialist Party, in a very public and acrimonious fashion. Laugh? I could cough up a kidney. Handbags at ten paces, methinks - that, or the credibility equivalent of Ebola.

Also - "Comedian turned actor" Mel "I'm Going To Smoke On Stage At The Edinburgh Festival No Matter What 'Nazi Law' There Is Against Smoking In Enclosed Public Spaces" Smith has decided NOT to break the law after all.

Pussy.

IF you're going to make such a big stink (cough cough) about this, you should at least stick by your principles, however disgusting and cancer-causing they may be. But then again, this wasn't about principles, was it, Mel? It was all about publicity.

If this was actually funny, you'd be generating the first laughs you've had from anyone in a decade. Tommy Sheridan, poncing about in a white suit straight out of Miami Vice, roaring on about his "fellow workers" whilst spending numerous thousands of pounds on a defamation action in court, is way funnier.
