The System didn't require my presence today after all, and so the whole day has been my own, leading to a bit of worthwhile writing, including a decision to go with the idea of two "intertwining" stories running side-by-side in the next Darkhawk installment. Several chapters of Darkhawk's side of things are "in the can", and work is just about to start on Mane-of-Night's tale - and the two will converge at their conclusion.

Meanwhile... The US Government - and our government too - have got to be joking. Typical of Blair to stick two fingers up at Scotland by allowing his pal Dubya's aircraft to ship smart-bombs through our air-space, and having them to refuel at a public airport. Guess it doesn't matter if that falls out of the sky on a Scottish town - but wouldn't his nose be put out of joint if one of those planes was hijacked and sent crashing into... oh, say Sellafield nuclear power station, just down the coast from Glasgow - in England.

Guess that just rang some bells on the MI5 net monitoring system. If it did, then pass this on to your lord and master:

Scotland is not a convenient aircraft carrier for the US military. Screw the "special relationship".
