Status Report

Wednesday, and no word on a "ready to pick up" date for the PC - in fact, I just went in to the shop, and it sounded like they hadn't even started to address the problem back at the workshop! More of what I had last time, and excuses simply won't wash, I'm afraid. Guess who's increasingly unlikely to be supplying me with a laptop, then - if I ordered one now, how long would it take to show up, and how much hassle would it bring with it...?
Pain in the ass tends to infinity when technology is involved.
Meanwhile... You'd think this "break" would be good for writing, but it isn't. I've done a couple of pages, and I'm not happy with some of it. Not having the rest of the story to readily refer to is slowing things down, and I don't want to plough ahead, leaving a chapter unfinished - that'll only cause problems further on - and moving on to "Lockdown" or another Secret Adventure won't help either. I just can't get comfortable enough to get the creative flow going again.
"Planet K" is simmering away in the back of my mind, but I daren't break into it just now. There'll be more on that when it actually gets going...

I'm thankful that everything in Ultima Online is in "vacation mode", but that won't last forever. Dammit.
And Finally... I should emphasise that this journal look best at 1024x768 - I'm on 800x600 right now, and the background image is almost completely obscured. Guess you can't have everything, then...
Oh gods and goddesses, the crappy piper outside the library has started playing "Highland Cathedral" - VERY badly. My misery is all but complete.
