Just like a piece of meat caught in your back teeth, I just can't leave this alone...
The main religious "discussion" show on Sunday morning TV had an item about "Rights For Religion?" or something like that, and it didn't take long for the representative from "Christian Voice" to resort to name-calling when addressing the representative of the secular viewpoint, digging up that tedious old crap about "Hitler was an atheist, so look at how evil atheists are".
I've covered this subject before, and I'm not going to go over the same ground again - but if religion did get protection under the law, it would have to include all faiths, or lack of such, or it means nothing. If it didn't, then all the religions could slag off their critics with impunity, and we would have no right of reply at all. The majority of my rants would effectively become illegal, yet if anyone treated me in the same fashion, I'd just have to "take my lumps"...
...like HELL I will.
Yet again, religion tramples all over the freedoms of the rest of us.
On A More Cheerful Note... To all mothers: Happy Mother's Day!
To all non-smokers: Happy Common Sense Day!
